Version 1.0Effective 2026-10-12

Last updated: 12 October 2026. Version 1.0, in force from 12 October 2026.

Operator: SkoroPro, 1105 E Main St, Suite 250, Allen, TX 75002, United States. Contact: support@skoropro.com.

This policy explains what personal data SkoroPro collects when you use the SkoroPro app and website, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to customers, Pros and visitors to skoropro.com.

1. Who is responsible for your data

  1. SkoroPro operates the service and decides how your personal data is used. SkoroPro is a Texas business at 1105 E Main St, Suite 250, Allen, TX 75002, United States.
  2. Digital Inertia (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2023/718007/07, South Africa) is the publisher and technical operator. Digital Inertia publishes the SkoroPro apps on the App Store and Google Play under licence from SkoroPro, and hosts and runs the service on its own accounts with the providers listed in section 7 under a hosting and support agreement with SkoroPro.
  3. Both act for SkoroPro. Digital Inertia processes your data only on SkoroPro's instructions and for the purposes in this policy. Whichever name you see on the store listing, your relationship and your rights are with SkoroPro, and the contact for everything is support@skoropro.com.

2. What we collect

Account. Your email address, your name, an optional phone number, an optional profile photo, your date-of-birth confirmation (we keep only that you confirmed you are 18 or older, and when), and the terms, policies and consents you accepted with their version numbers.

Pro business details. For Pros: business name, business type, description, services and prices, business hours, service area (a ZIP code and a radius), and the licence or insurance documents you upload for services that require them, with the number and expiry our staff record.

Addresses and location. The addresses you save or use for a job, and the coordinates we look up for them so that we can match a job to nearby Pros. We do not use your phone's location.

Jobs. Your job description, the service and category, your preferred time, photos you add, notes and access notes, and any draft Skorobot produced for you.

Messages. Messages and photos sent between a customer and a Pro in the app, and when each side last read a conversation.

Bookings and payments. Offers, quotes, bookings, add-ons, reschedules, cancellations, refunds, receipts and no-show reports. Card details go directly to Stripe. We store only the card brand, the last four digits, the card type and the expiry month and year so that you can recognise your card. SkoroPro never holds your full card number. For Pros, Stripe collects identity, tax and bank details, and we store only whether your account is ready for payouts.

Reviews, reports and blocks. Reviews you write and receive, reports you make or that are made about you, and the people you block.

Devices and notifications. Your push notification token, the platform (iOS or Android), the app version, and the notifications we sent you.

Crash and usage data. Crash reports and performance data from the app, with the sending of personal data switched off by default, and server logs of requests to our service.

Support. Emails you send to support@skoropro.com and our replies.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

In plain words, we use your data for these reasons and on these grounds.

  1. To provide the service you asked for (our contract with you). Creating your account, matching a job to Pros, showing offers and quotes, taking the card hold and the payment, paying the Pro, sending booking notifications and receipts, and running cancellations and refunds under the refund policy.
  2. To keep the marketplace safe and honest (our legitimate interests). Reviewing reports, acting on blocks, checking Pro documents, preventing fraud and abuse, recording reliability events, resolving disputes, fixing crashes and understanding how the service is used.
  3. Because you agreed (your consent). Using Skorobot to draft a job (which sends your text and photos to OpenAI), receiving push notifications (your phone asks you), and saving your card for future holds (the card agreement). You can withdraw these in the app.
  4. Because the law requires it (our legal duties). Keeping payment and tax records, responding to lawful requests, and meeting our obligations under Texas and United States law.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not sell it. We do not make automated decisions about you that have a legal or similarly significant effect: no-shows, refunds, reports and suspensions are all decided by people.

4. Skorobot and OpenAI

  1. Skorobot drafts a job from the text you type and the photos you add. To do that we send your text and small versions of your photos to OpenAI, a United States company. We strip email addresses, phone numbers and street numbers first.
  2. You are asked for your consent the first time you use Skorobot. If you decline, you use the form instead.
  3. The draft is labelled an estimate. You review and edit it before anything is posted. Skorobot never sets a price.
  4. We do not allow OpenAI to use your content to train its models. OpenAI may keep inputs for a short period to check for abuse under its terms.
  5. Every Skorobot response has a Report option.

5. Who sees your data inside SkoroPro

What a Pro sees before a booking is authorised: your job description, your photos, your first name and last initial, the general area of the job and a distance rounded to half a mile. No street address, no access notes and no contact details.

What a Pro sees after a booking is authorised: the street address, your notes and access notes, your name, and the messages you exchange. The Pro uses them only to do the job.

What a customer sees of a Pro: the business name, description, services, prices, hours, service area, reviews, and whether a required licence or insurance document has been checked. A customer does not see a Pro's documents, bank details or personal address.

Reviews you write appear on the Pro's profile with your first name and last initial.

SkoroPro and Digital Inertia staff see what they need to run the service: reports and the content reported, bookings and their timeline when you contact support or a dispute is open, documents under verification, and crash and server logs.

6. Who we share it with outside SkoroPro

  1. Our processors listed in section 7. They act on our instructions.
  2. Stripe, which is also an independent controller for the card data and the Pro identity data it collects under its own privacy policy.
  3. Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or SkoroPro's rights.
  4. A buyer or successor if SkoroPro is sold or merged. We would tell you first.

We share nothing with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Our processors

Each provider receives only the data it needs for its purpose. All of them except Geoapify are based in the United States and store our data there. Geoapify is based in Germany and receives only the address text you type and the address it resolves for you.

  • Stripe (Stripe, Inc.): payments, card holds and captures, refunds, card storage, Connect accounts and payouts for Pros, and tax forms where required. SkoroPro never holds full card numbers.
  • OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.): drafts a job from the customer's text and photos through Skorobot. The customer reviews the draft before posting.
  • Geoapify (Geoapify GmbH, Germany): address autocomplete and geocoding when you type an address.
  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): delivery of push notifications to Android devices only. We use no other Google service, and no Google analytics or advertising.
  • Supabase (Supabase, Inc.): our database, sign-in by email code, file storage for photos and documents, and the server functions that run the service, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States.
  • Vercel (Vercel, Inc.): hosting for skoropro.com and the admin console.
  • Expo (650 Industries, Inc.): building the apps and delivering push notifications.
  • Resend (Resend, Inc.): sending transactional email such as sign-in codes, booking confirmations and receipts.
  • Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.): crash reports and performance data from the app, with the sending of personal data switched off by default.

8. How long we keep it

  • Address coordinates: at most 30 days from when they were looked up. They are looked up again when needed.
  • Job locations: purged 30 days after the job.
  • Messages and chat photos: kept with the booking they belong to.
  • Jobs, bookings, photos, receipts, refunds and disputes: kept while your account is open, and after deletion kept without your name attached for as long as payment and tax law requires, up to 7 years.
  • Pro licence and insurance documents: while you offer the service, plus the period needed to show the check was done.
  • Skorobot drafts: kept with the job they produced.
  • Reports and blocks: while your account is open, and after deletion as a record of the action taken.
  • Push tokens: until you sign out or the device is no longer registered.
  • Crash reports: 90 days at Sentry. Server logs: 7 days.
  • Consents: for as long as your account exists, plus the period needed to show what you accepted.

9. Security

  1. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest at our processors.
  2. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. There is no password to leak.
  3. Access to data inside the service is restricted row by row, so a user sees only their own data and the other side of their own bookings and conversations. Staff access is logged.
  4. Card data never reaches our servers. It is entered into and stored by Stripe.
  5. Photos and documents are stored privately and served through short-lived links.
  6. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Your choices

  1. Edit your profile, addresses and, for Pros, business details in the app.
  2. Turn push notifications on or off in your phone's settings. We send push and email for booking events only. We do not send marketing email, and we will ask for your consent before we ever do.
  3. Decline or withdraw the Skorobot consent in the app and use the form instead.
  4. Remove a saved card in Settings.
  5. Delete your account from Settings in the app or at skoropro.com/delete-account. A deletion is refused while a booking or an uncaptured card hold is open; once they are closed it is processed and confirmed by email.

11. Your rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act

If you are a Texas resident, you have the right to:

  1. Confirm and access whether we are processing your personal data, and access it.
  2. Correct inaccurate personal data.
  3. Delete personal data you provided or that we obtained about you.
  4. Obtain a copy of the personal data you provided, in a portable and usable format.
  5. Opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of your personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. SkoroPro does none of these three things, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right is yours.

How to exercise them. Email support@skoropro.com from the email address on your account, or write to the address at the top of this policy, and say which right you are using. We may ask you to confirm your identity through your account. We respond within 45 days. If a request is complex or there are many, we may take up to 45 more days and we will tell you why within the first 45. You can make requests free of charge up to twice a year.

Appeals. If we decline a request, reply to the email we sent you and say that you are appealing. We decide the appeal within 60 days and send you a written explanation. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Texas Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division, through the complaint form at https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection/file-consumer-complaint, and we will tell you this again in our appeal response.

No discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.

12. Children

SkoroPro is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, email support@skoropro.com and we will delete it.

13. Content and moderation

Content on SkoroPro (messages, reviews, profiles, job descriptions and Skorobot output) is reviewed when someone reports it. It is not screened automatically. A report is reviewed by staff within 24 hours, and staff may read the reported content and the conversation it belongs to in order to decide.

14. Where your data is stored

Our processors store data in the United States, except Geoapify (Germany), which receives only the address text you type and the address it resolves. If you use SkoroPro from outside the United States, your data is transferred to and stored in the United States.

15. Changes to this policy

We can change this policy. A new version gets a new version number and a new effective date at the top of this page. We tell you in the app or by email before a change that affects how we use your data takes effect. The version you accepted is recorded with your account.
