Customer terms
Last updated: 12 October 2026. Version 1.0, in force from 12 October 2026.
Operator: SkoroPro, 1105 E Main St, Suite 250, Allen, TX 75002, United States. Contact: support@skoropro.com.
These terms are the agreement between you and SkoroPro ("SkoroPro", "we", "us") for using the SkoroPro app and website as a customer. The privacy policy, the community guidelines and the refund policy are part of these terms. Pros who offer services agree to the provider terms as well.
1. What SkoroPro is
- SkoroPro is a marketplace. It connects people in the Dallas to Fort Worth area of Texas with independent home-service businesses ("Pros") for cleaning, handyman, lawn and pool work.
- Pros are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents or partners of SkoroPro. The Pro does the work and is responsible for it. SkoroPro runs the app, the booking, the payment and the policies on this page.
- When you book, you enter into a contract for the service with the Pro. SkoroPro collects the payment on the Pro's behalf through Stripe and pays the Pro when the job is complete.
- The service area is Dallas to Fort Worth, Texas, United States. We do not offer the service anywhere else.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use SkoroPro. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and record that you confirmed it.
- You sign in with a code sent to your email address. Keep your email account and your phone secure. Everything done from your account counts as done by you until you tell us otherwise.
- Keep your name, phone number and addresses accurate. One person, one account.
- You accept these terms, the privacy policy and the community guidelines when you create your account. We record the version you accepted. The version number is at the top of this page.
3. Posting a job
- You describe the work, add photos if you like, pick an address and a preferred time, and post the job. Pros who serve your area and offer that service are invited to respond.
- Before a booking is authorised, a Pro sees your job description, your photos, the general area and a rounded distance. A Pro does not see your street address, your access notes or your contact details before then.
- Skorobot, the helper in the app, can draft a job from your text or photos. The draft is made by OpenAI from what you type and the photos you add. It is labelled an estimate. You review and edit the draft before anything is posted, and it never sets a price. You can skip it and use the form instead.
- Do not post work that is illegal, unsafe, or outside the services SkoroPro lists.
4. Offers, quotes and bookings
- A Pro can send you an offer (a fixed price with a proposed time) or a quote (an itemised price). Each one shows how long it is valid.
- Accepting an offer or a quote takes you to checkout. A booking exists once your card hold is authorised and the app confirms it. Other offers for the same job are then closed.
- The price of the job is set by the Pro. The service fee is set by SkoroPro and is shown before you confirm. You never pay more than the total shown at checkout, plus any add-on you approve during the job.
5. Prices and the service fee
- The total you pay is the job price, plus any approved add-ons, plus SkoroPro's service fee.
- The service fee is 15% of the job price, with a minimum of USD 5. The customer pays the service fee. The Pro pays no fee: the Pro receives the job price and approved add-ons in full.
- The breakdown is shown at checkout and again on your receipt in the app.
6. The card agreement
By saving a card and confirming a booking, you authorise SkoroPro, through Stripe, to place a hold on that card for the total shown at checkout and to charge it as described here.
- When the hold is placed. If your job starts within 6 days of booking, the hold is placed at checkout and you confirm it in the app. If your job starts later than that, the hold is placed on your saved card 2 days before the job, without you having to open the app.
- If the hold fails. We tell you by push notification and email. You can confirm the payment or switch cards in the app. We try again 36 hours before the job. If there is still no hold 24 hours before the job, the booking is cancelled automatically, at no cost to you and with no mark against the Pro.
- When the hold is captured. The hold is captured (charged) when the Pro marks the job complete in the app.
- Add-ons. If you and the Pro agree extra work during the job, you approve the add-on in the app. The add-on gets its own hold for its price plus the fee on it, and it is captured with the job.
- Receipts. Your receipt is in the app after capture, with the job price, add-ons, service fee and total.
- Card details. Card numbers are entered into and stored by Stripe. SkoroPro never holds your full card number.
- A hold is not a charge. It may appear as pending on your statement until it is captured or released.
7. Services that need a licence or insurance
- Some services may only be offered by a Pro who holds a current licence from the relevant Texas authority, proof of insurance, or both. The Pro uploads the document in the app and SkoroPro staff check it before the Pro can offer those services.
- We check the document, not the work. We do not inspect jobs, and we do not make any promise about the quality or outcome of a Pro's work.
8. During the job
- The Pro marks their arrival in the app, takes before and after photos, and marks the job complete. You get a notification at each step.
- Extra work is agreed through the add-on flow in the app before it is done. Work that was not booked or approved in the app is not covered by these terms or by the refund policy.
- Be available at the agreed time, or make sure the Pro can get in. If you are not available when the Pro arrives, the refund policy treats it as a no-show on your side.
9. Reschedules
- Either side can propose a new time in the app. The other side accepts or declines. A booking keeps its original time until a new one is accepted.
- If an existing card hold would run out before the new time, the app refuses that reschedule. You can then cancel under the refund policy and rebook.
- Cancellation tiers count from the original start time, unless a reschedule was agreed more than 24 hours before the original start. Then they count from the new time.
10. Cancellations, no-shows and refunds
- The refund policy, policy version v1, decides what you get back when a booking is cancelled or when someone does not show up. The app shows you the exact amount before you confirm a cancellation.
- The policy covers eight situations: you cancel more than 24 hours before the start; you cancel between 24 hours and 2 hours before; you cancel less than 2 hours before; you are not available when the Pro arrives; the Pro cancels; the Pro does not arrive; a booking is cancelled while the job is in progress; and a goodwill refund from SkoroPro support.
- No-shows are never decided automatically. From 30 minutes after the start you can report that the Pro did not arrive. The Pro can report that you were not available. SkoroPro support reviews the report and decides under the refund policy.
- Refunds go back to the card that was held.
11. Reviews
- You can review a Pro only after a completed booking, and only about that booking.
- Reviews must describe your own experience and be honest. We show reviews from completed bookings as they are, including negative ones, and we do not pay for reviews.
- Reviews that break the community guidelines can be hidden after a report.
12. Messages, reports and blocking
- You and the Pro can message each other in the app. Messages are kept with the booking.
- Every message, review and profile has Report and Block in its menu. Blocking closes the conversation both ways. A report is reviewed by SkoroPro staff within 24 hours.
- Content on SkoroPro is reviewed when someone reports it. It is not screened automatically.
- You own what you post. You give SkoroPro permission to store it, show it to the people who need to see it for the job, and use it to run and protect the service.
13. Disputes and support
- Write to support@skoropro.com with your booking code (it starts with SKB). A dispute about a booking or a payment gets a first response within 48 hours.
- SkoroPro support can cancel a booking, decide a no-show, or make a goodwill refund after reviewing the booking, the messages and the photos.
- If you dispute a charge with your card issuer, SkoroPro provides the booking record to Stripe and the issuer decides. Please contact us first; most issues are faster to resolve in the app.
14. Notifications
- We send push notifications and emails about your bookings: confirmations, payment actions, reminders, arrival, add-ons, completion, receipts, cancellations and reschedules. You can turn push notifications off in your phone's settings, and the app still works.
- We do not send marketing email. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.
15. Your data
- How we collect, use and share personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
- Geocoded coordinates for an address are kept for at most 30 days. The location of a job is purged 30 days after the job.
16. Deleting your account
- You can delete your account from Settings in the app or from skoropro.com/delete-account.
- A request is refused while a booking is still open or a card hold has not been captured or released yet. The app tells you which bookings are in the way. Once they are closed, the deletion is processed and confirmed by email.
17. Suspension and closure
- We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms or the community guidelines, if we are required to by law, or if your account is used for fraud or abuse. We tell you by email with the reason, unless the law prevents it.
- Open bookings are settled under the refund policy. You can appeal by replying to the email or writing to support@skoropro.com.
18. Our responsibility to you
- SkoroPro provides the marketplace. The Pro provides the service. SkoroPro does not make any promise about a Pro's work, timing or results beyond what these terms and the refund policy say.
- We make no satisfaction guarantee and no other guarantee about a service.
- To the extent Texas law allows, SkoroPro is not liable for loss caused by a Pro's work, and SkoroPro's total liability to you for any claim connected to a booking is limited to the service fee you paid SkoroPro on that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Texas law.
19. Changes to these terms
- We can change these terms. A new version gets a new version number and a new effective date at the top of this page.
- We tell you in the app or by email before a change that affects your rights takes effect. Using SkoroPro after the effective date means you accept the new version. The version you accepted is recorded with your account.
20. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any court case about these terms or about SkoroPro is brought in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, and you agree to that venue.
